Jeremiah Duggan (November 10, 1980 – March 27, 2003)
Jeremiah Duggan, a 22 year old British Student studying in Paris, travelled to Germany on the eve of the US invasion of Iraq, to participate in a “peace conference” run by LaRouche’s political organisation called the Schiller Institute. Jeremiah decided he needed to take a stand against the impending war in Iraq. He thought he was among kindred spirits, until he discovered that members of the conference seemed to blame the Jews and the British for starting the war that he was told would set off a nuclear holocaust to destroy the world.
According to eyewitness reports, confused Jeremiah spoke out and rose during one such diatribe to say “But I’m a Jew!”
Six days after his arrival in Germany, in the early hours of 27th March 2003, he called his mother in London and said “Mum I’m in deep trouble. You know this Nouvelle Solidarité – I want out!” Then he made it clear he was in terror and wanted to get away and said: “I’m frightened! I WANT TO SEE YOU NOW!”
Just a few hours later he was found dead on an autobahn in Wiesbaden, a few hundred meters from LaRouche’s European headquarters.

After Mr Duggan’s death on March 27, 2003, a witness told the family of the chaotic scenes at the LaRouche conference. Jeremiah’s father Hugh Duggan said:
“All their members, 40 to 50 of them, were gathered into a room and addressed by Helga LaRouche, the wife of LaRouche, at this stage she said, ‘Jeremiah Duggan is dead. We believe he was a spy sent to harm the organisation and now we want you to pack up and go home right away. Don’t talk among yourselves about this and don’t talk to others.”
London student’s German road ‘suicide’ was ‘set-up’
The LaRouche’s cult believed he was a ‘Manchurian candidate’ brainwashed by Tavistock to kill LaRouche!
After his death and the LaRouche cult’s narrative, the German police immediately decided this was not a traffic accident, a manslaughter or even a murder but a suicide, stating that Jeremiah had run into the path of two cars in order to kill himself. They therefore could close the case without further investigation.
This German police’s conclusion was reached:
- Without an autopsy.
- Without forensic examination of his clothing, which the police destroyed without consulting Jeremiah’s family.
- Without taking written statements from the drivers of the two cars said to be involved in Jeremiah’s death.
Four independent forensic experts agreed that neither the damage to the two cars nor Jeremiah’s injuries support the conclusion that Jeremiah’s death was caused by a road traffic incident. Despite evidence calling into question every aspect of their conclusion, the German police have refused to reopen the case.
